INTERFERED WITH MOWER

Gravestones Said to Have Been Removed From Cemetery for Trifling Cause

SPECIAL TO THE PLAIN DEALER.

TOLEDO, O., June 18.- An uproar has been raised here over alleged serious mismanagement of the Fort Meigs burying ground, a few miles out of the city.

The cemetery is one of the oldest in this part of the state and it is charged that the stones over the older graves have been removed and in some cases used to form a floor for cellars and outhouses in the neighborhood.  Charles Harsch and Adam Gekle of this city returned from the cemetery today and stated that they found over 200 stones removed from the graves and piled up in the fence corners.

The excuse given by the trustees was that the stones interfered with the lawnmower.
